[A carefree weekend in North Miami Beach.]

I’m coming out…

I’m coming out of fear…

I’m coming out of depression…

I’m coming out of self doubt…

I’m coming out of comfortability…

I’m coming out of laziness…

I’m coming out of disorganization…

I’m coming out of complaining…

I’m coming out of the ring…

It’s been quite some time since I’ve opened myself up to even write, yet alone post to my blog. Since about February of this year I’ve been battling depression.

Just as I was finding my way out, I lost my Dad in April (Rest in Peace). Shortly after, May, I’ve come to terms with being unhappy in my relationship. Nonetheless, I work in an industry and field that is always filled with chaos (but I chose this life, so I have to deal with it, lol).

Whilst enduring it all, I’m learning…

Life will always deliver a new battle. We just have to remember how to fight by stepping out of the ring. Fighting not by flesh, but by spirit. Not with anger, but always in love. Overcoming anxiety by giving all to God. Yes we may feel, we my cry, we may hurt, but we must remember…

The battle is never ours…

[2 Chronicles 20:15 (NLT) He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.]

Life’s test are not here to destroy us, but to grow us. Pray for wisdom in the battle, joy through the rain, and discernment to recognize the bigger picture.

[ James 1: 2-6 (NLT) Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.]

Victory is available to us all, when we find strength in leaning onto God. We must find hope that there is peace in walking with God, and a breath of fresh air when we decide not to take on every burden by ourselves.

[John 16:33 (NLT) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

If you’re like me and feeling beat from life’s struggles, join me in COMING OUT OF THE RING. Challenge yourself to trust in God. Challenge your self to open up to more people (your confidants and/or spiritual friends). Challenge yourself to do something you love. Ask God to renew your heart desires. Stop making excuses and sign up for the gym or search for a therapist (things I need to do, lol). Make the decision to choose victory or at least believe that this too shall past. Subscribe to my blog if you haven’t already, LOL! Cause I’M COMING OUT! And you should too!
